job description:
responsible for supervision of all wstos (wideband satcom operations and technical supoprt) contractor technical experts and other wsots contractor persnonel working on site.
previous experience supporting government and/or department of defense customers.
preferred additional skills:
site manager experience desired for understanding of program and ability to interact with others in the program.
evaluate on-site station failure reports and perofrm equimpent repair and preventative maintneance actions.
position may require shift work.
analyze wsoms network configurations and link performance data output from multiple control and monitoring systems to resolve inconsistencies, identify anomalous conditions and determine system application and wsoms network performance.technical assitsance,
provide supoprt, and perform the maintneance of equimpent as required.
8 years in satellite industry inclduing at least 4 years in a supervisory and/or management position.
direct and manage performance analysis of existing and proposed system software and hardware.

wsoc site manager responsibilities include operations and maintenance support for the transition from legacy systems/subsystems to the wsoms systems/subsystems.in order to obtain a clearance you need to be a u.
this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a top secret security clearance.
analyze deficiency data and prepare technical reports on system performance and/or effectiveness.
recommend and initiate the implementation of engineering design changes required to adapt systems to new uses or accommodate changes in the military command and control mission.monitor and review all wsots contract performance on site,
direct.
reconfigure equipment and develop command procedures and other software routines as required to support new applications, re-engineered equipment and/or new uses of defense communications systems.
interface with the cognizant responsible authority in resolving technical problems and schedules.s. citizen and show proof of citizenship.
notifies the wsoc oic and ncoic of any equipment outages.
experience shall include the use of computer software tools in the solution of complex communication anomalies.
qualifications:
successful candidates should have a bachelors degree and 8 years relevant professional experience; or commensurate education and experience.
supervise installation of any modification work order (mwo) that is authorized for site installation by site maintenance personnel.
advise and assist site personnel in interpreting operational and maintenance issues for docs legacy equipment and wsoms equipment.
interface with any technical representative(s) as directed by the commander and wsoc ncoic.
4 years experience in military satellite communications, satellite communications network control and/or satcom terminal operations and repair.
