as the subject matter expert the spc provides technical and consultative leadership for emc technical solutions opportunities on a range of complex it consulting engagements. seeks advice or assistance from ts management as required during difficult customer situations. acts as a mentor and assists or presents traniing development environments to peers, customers and other organizations. applies methodologies prudently on a project
leads project quality assurance activities, including performing technical qa reviews on components for a team and performing qa reviews of code documentation.
consultative sklils.testing process and certification of software, leads code reviews.
skills
understanding of emc\'s products and their value added to the customer.may be required to act as project manager on less complex implementations.maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures,
prepares.may supervise staff on project engagements.
emc proven professional certification desired.
cross-functional skill.identify requierments, key responsibility is the successful execution of all consulting engagements including evaluating customers\'\' strategic business issues, create business case justifications, and propose appropriate enterprise soluitons.advises project manager on level of effort required to perform assigned implementations. keeps project managers informed of activities, alerting of any issues promptly. knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex technical solutions.
facilitates client and internal meetings, presents application architecture and deisgn solutions.
valdiates requirements, limtied protoytping, and functinoality design.demontsrates storng interpresonal skills.proivdes supoprt and instrcution to less expereinced co-worekrs, thruogh clasrsoom training sesisons or on-the-job mentroing.
provides issue resolution (point of contact for technical questions).
principal duties and responsibilities
represents emc in a professional manner to customers, emc partners and other emc personnel at all times. capable of working with minimal supervision. trains customer personnel when authorized by ts management. responsible for the creation of proposals that address current and evolving client requirements.
communication skills.reports unsafe situations and recommends improvements.completes end-of-project reports. other ts personnel, project managers, and the customer to ensure a smooth implementation and transition from start-up to integration/production mode, works closely with sales.customization, implementation, integration and documentation for the customer, these projects may include analyzing requirements.
possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge.performs according to established safety standards.
supports and reports to engagement project manager while assigned to active customer engagements.
ability to influence others to achieve results.ensures that all project communication with the customer goes through the engagement project manager.provides knowledge transfer throughout and at the completion of assigned projects. acts as back up to project manager or to provide team technical leadership on specific implementations. works in conjunction with emc ts colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues encountered during implementations.
