strong drafting, with at least 5 yeras' expeirence in capital markets and m&a area
ability to "own" projects, prioritize and respond to business needs and goals, take initiative, p. morgan in indsutry forums as a working group member
manage outside counsel for any one of the above work streams
qualifications:
fluency in japanese and english, both written and oral
common law jurisidction qualfiied with betewen 5 to 8 years legal experience (eihter as in-hosue counsel in the finacnial services industry and/or as a laywer in a top tier interntaional law firm).amnog the attroney's responsbiilities will be:
proivde legal anaylsis and judgemnts on legal issues, and assist business partners to make business judgments by providing legal and compliance advice
review legal documentation, principally for capital markets and m&a transactions; provide drafting suggestions
liase with japanese law practice group colleagues for japanese law-related analyses of issues arising from japan investment banking businesses.this position will report to the head of the investment banking legal team in tokyo.
coordinate delivery of legal services with legal & compliance department colleagues in europe, americas and asia pacific regions
