the ideal candidate will act as dce design, engineering & consturction manager by providing elecrtical and mechnaical evaluation and design services that will include development of design and energy efficiency standards for the organization.
logical understanding of data center processes and end to end it infrastructure components/architecture.and in accordance with contractual obligations, on-schedule, in addition, this postiion will assist in managing change management(cm)/criitcal environment work authorizations (cewa) as well as provide project management oversight on operational and capital construction and repair projects to ensure the facility deliverables are completed according to corporate standards, within or below budget.

ovevriew:
tihs position will be responsible for innoavtive electrical and mechanical design and construction management of misison critical (data center) construction throughout asia (jaapn, chnia and singpaore).and security concepts,
advnaced knowledge of information technology disciplines such as hardware, storage, virtualization, operating systems, networking.
experience with data centers or misison critical facilities of at least 100,000 sq ft of computer room space.
experience with data centers or mission critical facilities of at least 25,000 sq ft of computer room space.
extraordinary knowledge of data center facility best practices including energy efficiency practices.execution, and management of 3rd party vendor and consulting contracts,
experience with the creation.
extensive experience in renovation and evaluation of electrical and mechanical systems for varying types of projects.the amazon engineer is involved and ultimately responsible for each discipline including mechanical, as we run an efficient team, electrical, controls and architectural systems.
develop and report all key performance metrics regarding capital expenditures.

provide design support to sales team and business unit (bu) in locating space in data centers and designing according to established standards for potential customers.
responsibilities:
lead out in developing data center electrical and mechanical design standards that meet and exceed industry practices.engineering & construction manager - lead in the development of short and long term strategies to achieve bu and corporate objectives,

preferred qualifications
a minimum of 15 years experience of electrical and/or mechanical design and/or mep construction management.
basic qualifications
electrical or mechanical engineering background
a minimum of 10 years experience of electrical and/or mechanical design and/or mep construction management.engineering & construction services role will promote technical excellence through application of quality assurance processes and weekly meetings with business unit and site facility engineers to review status and formulate action items on data center related projects, lastly, the director of design.
industry leading knowledge of data center facility best practices including energy efficiency practices.
lead out in identifying energy efficiency opportunities through design and best practices by utilizing industry standards and recommendations from such organizations as us green building council leed program and the green grid and associated asian organizations.
- project manages design process to ensure timely completion of builds/expansions.
inventory of existing site infrastructure equipment and develop data center design standards to assist asset management and procurement.
